Base Bro’s vision is to combine the power of decentralized finance with the fun of meme culture. We will be kickstarting a 3-month points farming campaign by unveiling two of the pioneering DeFi protocols, featuring farms and vaults. The rest will unfold during and after our points farming campaign. We will also have 2 different tokens post the points farming campaign; 1 protocol token and 1 meme token.

Users would technically be anyone interested in Defi or memes, we intend to bridge these two together effectively through our project :slight_smile: to encourage broader mass adoption within the defi sector.

Detailed Project Info

  • Goals/Objectives + Relevance to Seamless Protocol/Community:

As mentioned on the project summary, we intend to bring greater mass adoption into DeFi through the use of memes. As such, we will be buidling a couple of DeFi products, starting with the pioneer items such as farms and vaults and expand from there. We intend to pioneer a unified platform that fulfills every DeFi farming need, spanning multiple chains including non-EVM compatible networks such as Solana.

The team intend to create a few vault strategies for Seamless protocol’s users to earn Bro Points on Base Bros. We will also be creating a farm for SEAM token holders to stake SEAM and earn Bro Points.

  • Roadmap:
    A gist is on the whitepaper. The team will be able to provide a much clearer and concise roadmap nearing the end of our points campaign.

  • Relevant Milestones/Metrics (Now and Future): Similar to the roadmap, we will be very focused on our 3 month points farming campaign and of course amass a decent amount of TVL

  • Funding Request + Budget Breakdown: We are looking for ideally, 10-20K USD, all of which will be going towards development and operational costs. We are also looking for seed investments which we can talk more about.

Hi @BaseBros ! Thanks for applying to the grants programme.
May I ask you for some clarifications:

  1. The Bros paper says that u are aiming at managing defi farming opportunities across multiple blockchains. What is place of Base ecosystem in your strategy? The very token is going to be launched on Base or u are planning to be more base involved?
  2. FYI, we cannot provide grants in USDC or other stables, esSEAM only

Hey Ras, we are starting off on Base first due to the narrative that new users will likely be onboarded on Base due to the reach Coinbase has. Our vision is to eventually unite the chains under 1 protocol and our underlying chain for that will be Base. Token will also be launched on Base. Understood regarding the grant.

Hey @BaseBros ! On behalf of the SCGP Council, I can say that the BaseBros project is at the too early stage to assess its alignment with Seamless and possible synergies. Having said that, I’m sorry to say that at the current stage we are not able to provide a grant.
However, your project does seem promising and we wish you good luck with the forthcoming launch.
PS If your project ends up incorporating Seamless more down the line and gain traction, you are welcome to reapply.

  2. Reward Seamless lenders through our yield aggregators which are incentivized with points
